HMW, High Molecular Weight Polyethylene offers a higher molecular weight than HDPE Polyethylene and improved impact strength, abrasion resistance and lower coefficient of friction when compared to HDPE. It has a much lower molecular weight than UHMW and is sometimes considered as an economical alternative to UHMW, where the much higher impact, abrasion resistance and other superior properties that UHMW offer may not be needed.
- Bucket and Shovel Liners
- Truck Liners
- Food Processing Applications
- Chute and Hopper Liners
Characteristics:
- Good mechanical properties
- Good Wear and scratch resistance
- Low Friction
- Electrically Insulative
Limitations
- Lower Molecular Weight than UHMW
- Lower Overall Properties & Performance when compared to UHMW
